FutureBUILDS is a real estate development initiative seeking to support early- and mid-career Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC), who are interested in real estate development professionally or launching entrepreneurial ventures in the industry. With support and funding from the Future Skills Centre (@fsc_ccf ), Monumental developed and implemented the first BIPOC Real Estate Development Incubator in Canada in partnership with the University of Toronto’s Infrastructure Institute. Informed by research conducted by Monumental on the experiences of racialized individuals in the real estate development sector, FutureBUILDS seeks to catalyse new thinking, agility and ideas into the sector by engaging BIPOC entrepreneurs and innovators who are passionate about solving issues of access to housing and housing affordability.
